4x5 photography refers to using a large-format camera that captures images on individual sheets of 4x5 inch film, producing exceptional detail and tonal range.

This traditional format requires a deliberate process of composing, focusing, and exposing each shot, often with the camera mounted on a tripod.

This portfolio presented here was created in 2006 using a 4x5 view camera, emphasizing craftsmanship and precision at every stage. It was focused on capturing artists and their workspaces in Savannah, Georgia, created while attending the Savannah College of Art and Design.

After capturing the images on film, each negative was carefully developed by hand in the darkroom. The prints were then produced using traditional photographic printing techniques, ensuring rich contrast, texture, and depth throughout the collection.
